Dirty Fleagle and his baby brother Dirty Drew first appear in #27.

Moderately skilled fighters, but no match for Cerebus. Dirty Drew has an unusual amount of animal magnetism, as evidenced by his various romantic encounters (#39, p.11; #41, pgs.5, 9, 11). From Onliu. p. 30 High Society.

In High Society they become bodyguards for Cerebus. In Church & State II they are with the Secret Sacred Wars Roach and Countess Michelle.

Dave Speaks About the McGrew Brothers

Kim Thompson: Are the Fleagle Brothers modeled on anyone in particular?...

Dave: They were modeled on Yosemite Sam, but also on Gene Day and his brother Dan, since they actually look like that. Gene Day had dark hair down to the middle of his back and Dan has blonde hair down to the middle of his back, they were brothers, and I thought "That's a combination that you can't let go by." On one hand they both look like brothers but the blond hair and the dark hair tend to throw you off. When I told Gene I was doing him as Yosemite Sam, he said, "oh, boy -- Mah hero."
