Conniptin

Various nomadic northern tribes that are gradually encroaching into the Red Marches. Their name is a pun on "conniption."

Appear in issue 8, issue 9 and issue 49. Cameos/Mentions in issue 28 and issue 50.

They have more advanced medicine than Cerebus is familiar with (#8, p.11).

Their war cry is "Might makes Right! Might for Right! Might for Might! Right for Might! Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Once ruled Iest and According to the Conniptin doctor that takes care of Cerebus, the Hsifan khanate has been pushing the Conniptins north for two centuries. (#8, p.12)

Iest's military mistook them for invading Hsiffies, leading to unfortunate consequences. (High Society)

On the letters page of Issue 26, Sim says that they never had any real chance.
